Karim Soliman MD, MSc, PhD, FASN, FNKF
is the founder of Teaching Kidneys LLC and Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. He serves as Executive Medical Director of the Kidney Transplant Service Line and Medical Director of the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Programs at UPMC.
Board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology, Dr. Soliman has led multiple transplant programs, authored over 70 publications, and served as principal investigator in national clinical trials. He is a fellow of both the American Society of Nephrology and the National Kidney Foundation and an invited speaker at national meetings.
At TeachingKidneys.com, he shares high-yield educational resources to help clinicians, trainees, and patients improve kidney care. In his free time, he enjoys family life and championship motorcycle racing.
